processing

1
clean substrate
Degrease bonding surfaces — especially transparent substrates (glass, polycarbonate) very carefully.
2
Apply UV adhesive
Cure-on-demand: Apply adhesive, join components — no rush, long open time.
3
Positioning components
Correct alignment — the position can be adjusted as desired before UV exposure.
4
UV exposure
Expose with a low-power UV lamp — curing time depends on lamp power and layer thickness. Wavelength according to TDS.
5
Curing
Instant curing under UV light. ISO 10993-5 compliant after full cross-linking.

Frequently asked questions about 4UV80HV

Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.

Permabond 4UV80HV: High-viscosity, UV/light-curing methacrylate adhesive of medical device grade — cure-on-demand with low-power lamps, ISO 10993-5 biocompatible. Main applications: Medical device assembly, transparent substrates, automated bonding.

UV-curing adhesives only crosslink under UV exposure—without UV, they remain liquid indefinitely. The advantage: components can be freely positioned and adjusted before being selectively exposed to the UV lamp. As soon as UV light hits them, the adhesive crosslinks within seconds. Ideal for high-precision bonding with long positioning times and automated machine applications.

Store in the unopened original container in a dry, cool place — Permabond adhesives typically between +5 and +25 °C, see TDS for exact values. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Observe the expiry date on the packaging. Store cyanoacrylates in a cool place (ideally refrigerated) for maximum shelf life.

The comparison table above lists related Permabond products with different properties—viscosity, mixing ratio, special certification. If you are unsure which product is best, we would be happy to advise you—contact SILITECH with your specific application (substrate pairing, load, curing conditions).
