Permabond A 905 Spray is the aerosol version of the surface activator A905 — same effect as an accelerator of anaerobic adhesives on inactive surfaces, but more convenient to use in inaccessible places or large areas.
The spray form simplifies the even application of the activator—for example, on inaccessible screws, in deep bores, or on large sealing surfaces. The chemical composition is the same as the liquid version: rapid evaporation, minimal residue, and compatibility with all anaerobic Permabond adhesives.
The spray application also allows for the targeted activation of specific areas without having to treat the entire adhesive surface — an advantage in selective repair or maintenance operations.
Spray version of Permabond Activator A905 — same chemistry as the liquid, but as an aerosol for convenient and even application in hard-to-reach places or large areas. Activates Permabond anaerobic adhesives on inactive surfaces.

Frequently asked questions about Permabond A 905 Spray
Practical application and design questions — answered by SILITECH.
Permabond A 905 Spray is a surface activator for use with anaerobic Permabond adhesives — it accelerates curing on inactive surfaces such as stainless steel, zinc, or aluminum and improves gap curing in cases of coarse tolerances. Surface activator spray for anaerobic adhesives — convenient aerosol application.
Apply A 905 Spray thinly and evenly to ONE of the two bonding surfaces. Allow to evaporate completely (a few seconds to minutes). Then apply the anaerobic adhesive to the UNTREATED bonding surface. Do not mix the activator and adhesive directly—this will cause premature curing.
A 905 Spray is compatible with the entire anaerobic Permabond A range — threadlockers (A011, A113, A126, A130, A025, A131, A134, A118), shaft-hub adhesives (A1042, A1046, A1062), thread sealants (A129, A1044, A1058) and surface sealants (A136). A 905 Spray has no activating effect on other adhesive types (cyanoacrylates, epoxides, UV acrylates).
A 905 Spray is particularly effective on inactive surfaces—stainless steel, zinc (galvanized steel), aluminum, and some coatings. On steel, copper, and their alloys, anaerobic curing is rapid even without an activator. Its use is also beneficial at low ambient temperatures or with large adhesive gaps.
Permabond offers A905 as a liquid (for high-volume processing, dipping, and rag application) and as an A905 spray (aerosol, for selective or hard-to-reach areas). The chemistry is identical—the choice depends on the application method.
When stored correctly at 5 to 25 °C, A 905 Spray is stable until the printed expiration date. Since the product contains solvents, keep the bottle tightly closed; otherwise, evaporation will occur and the effectiveness will decrease.
A 905 Spray contains solvents (flash point −4 °C) — risk of fire and deflagration. Use only in well-ventilated areas, away from open flames, sparks, and hot surfaces. Avoid eye and skin contact; refer to the SDS for complete safety data.
