Methacrylate-based structural adhesives (MMA) are designed for high-stress bonding applications that can replace mechanical fasteners such as welding or riveting. They offer high impact strength , good gap filling , and better tolerance of slightly contaminated or untreated surfaces than many other adhesive technologies.

Advantages over epoxy adhesives

Higher impact strength and elongation, rapid curing at room temperature, and reduced surface preparation requirements. Proven effective on composite materials (GFRP/CFRP), aluminum, steel, and many thermoplastic materials.

Substrate combination, required strength and elasticity, open time and handling strength during the process, as well as temperature and aging stresses.
