Technologies at a glance

Cyanoacrylates: Superglue for the rapid bonding of small components. Epoxies: 1K and 2K for high-strength structural bonds. Anaerobic adhesives: Threadlockers, flange gaskets, shaft-hub connections. UV-curing adhesives: Cures in seconds under UV light. Structural adhesives: MMA acrylates for highly stressed connections. MS polymers: Elastic bonding and sealing, isocyanate- and silicone-free. PU adhesives: Flexible to structural. Hot melt adhesives: Solvent-free with immediate initial strength. Also available: thread sealants, activators, primers, and cleaners for surface preparation.

Substrate and surface preparation, gap dimensions, required strength, temperature range, chemical contact, curing mechanism and process time, elasticity, and disassembly. We review these criteria against the technical data sheets and suggest suitable products and alternatives.
