UV-curing adhesives. Cures in seconds under UV light

UV adhesives cure in seconds under UV radiation (typically 315 to 400 nm) and enable very fast manufacturing processes. They have proven effective for bonding glass, transparent plastics , and components in optics and electronics.

Advantages in the process

Curing on demand: The adhesive remains liquid until it is selectively irradiated. This allows for positional corrections and precise cycle times in production. Single-component, solvent-free, with excellent optical clarity.

Permabond UV range

From low viscosity (capillary bonding glass to glass) to high viscosity (gap filling). Special formulations for medical technology (product-specific testing according to ISO 10993, as per manufacturer's documentation), optics (low fluorescence) and electronics (low outgassing).

What matters when making your selection

Wavelength and intensity of the UV source, layer thickness, UV transmittance of the substrates, and potential shadowing zones are all important factors. The adhesive and curing unit must be compatible; we provide advice on both and supply suitable UV curing systems.
